I’m sure that some of you use to receive a few hate mails once in a while. In the last 4 months I’ve received a few too. Most of them were from piczo users that hav3 an 0pin1on and very good reasons to curse me (by the way, your layouts are so pretty NOT). The best reason was from xoXBlinkyXox who used the “f” word 5 times and called me a bitch because I’ve joined this fanlisting. I’ve cried 3 days after that and deleted the fanlisting from here:)).
A friend of mine, Alexa, wanted to delete her site, because she received a few hate mails and was depressed. I’ve made fun of those girls who sent those mails, she laughed and today her site is still online and very successful. She doesn’t take everything so personal anymore. And you shouldn’t take everything too personal neither. If you can’t handle yourself not to take everything personal, make sure to have a friend, who always helps you to be more powerful.
People are mean, some of them just try to be BIG on the internet, because in real life they are little insects with no personality. If we would meet, they would probably bumble.
I can curse everyone behind a nickname, but I would have no satisfaction. How can you hate someone on the internet, because you don’t like his/her layout or opinion? That’s so stupid. I understand when you hate someone because he put up some pr0n videos with you on a website, but not because of some things that you should accept, or tolerate.

Yep, I know what you mean. Back in the days, I’ve had a lot more people hating me than now, but I made it through. Hehe. I used to take things personally also, but I’ve been online for almost 6 years now, so I’m a lot more “tolerant” of it. Actually, I just ignore it, not really tolerate it. LOL. But yeah, it’s great that your friend is still online and is successful! =)

Lmao at haters. Seriously, I’ve gotten quite a few that just didn’t like how I stuck up for other people, and I honestly don’t care. These people don’t effect my real life in any way whatsoever, so I really don’t find a problem with that. In fact, I’d LOVE to see some of these people in real life, because like you said, they’d probably just make huge asses of them selves. Anyways, I don’t think you should have left that fanlisting just because of some insignificant speck online, no matter what they would have said. Let me know their contact info, and I’ll give them a piece of my mind =P

Yeah it is amazing how people can get online. I never did igure that one out. People find it so easy to be big and bad online. If she did not like the fact you are a fan then she could have easily clicked the X and left.

Yeah, I totally know what you mean by that. People have no sense of tolerance these days. If you say one little thing people get offended and automatically hate you, which is really stupid. I have never received hate mail, but if I ever did, would basically ignore it. It is not worth a minute of my life to read it. Haters are their own downfall in my opinion.

I agree.. how the hell can you judge someone by what their site looks like?! Its insane, it really is! Ive never got hatemail before [you wait, ill open my email and have some now! :P] so I dont know what its like, thankfully!

You know its weird for people to say they hate someone from the internet because the truth lies that they don’t really know them enough to ‘hate’ them. The internet is an interesting place. Oh gosh no, I wouldnt let it get to you. You have to ignore what negative things people say. You’ll find if you’re being hated or cursed at for a good layout, it might be that they’re jealous of it? Thats the usual truth.
I hope you dont receive anymore mail like that. If so, just ignore it. I havent ever actually received any but if I did, I’d laugh at it and delete it. You’re also right about the iframes… google doesnt show the rest of a site. But ah well. I dont mind because most of my loyal visitors dont use google to find my site, they have the link.

Hate mails are a good thing, something that makes you stronger. Sure, it hurts, but it’s a good way to test your patience and strength. The goal is to stay positive and calm no matter what an idiot wrote.

Haha, I can’t believe that someone sent you hate mail because you joined my fanlisting, that is so lame and random! They should have sent the mail to me instead…I’ve only received two hate mails in my life! You’d think there’d be more, right? One was from a girl who I did a Webmasters Behaving Badly article on, and the other was from some deranged friend of Mimi’s, of weborexia fame.
I’m a firm believer of the whole “don’t take things too personally online” deal. Works for me

Some people are pretty stupid to write hatemail over trivial things. I think people like that are just jealous because they can’t do half as good a job as other people can on sites. But I mean over a fanlisting? Now that is a bit fu**ed up.
You make a good point. Not to let things like this bother a person. If I recieved hate mail I’d probably laugh about it an ignore it. Never take things personal online is right, besides it’s only the internet.
