The Olympics
The Olympics is a very common subject on blogs these days. The truth is that the beginning, the show that China made was very pretty. I couldn’t imagine something that beautiful. Romania already won a few medals. We aren’t good at lots of things, but when it comes to sports, we are one of the bests.
You probably read about the mentality and maybe it made you a bad impression about Romania. But the Olympics… well this is an other story. I think it’s the biggest proud of this country. I will not write too much about it, because it is very boring to read only about the Olympics on every single blog you are visiting.
Romania can be very proud at gymnastics. Your mothers or grandmothers sure heard about Nadia Comăneci:
At the age of 14, Comaneci became one of the stars of the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. During the team portion of the competition, her routine on the uneven bars was scored at a 10.0. It was the first time in modern Olympic gymnastics history that the score had ever been awarded. The scoreboards were not even equipped to display scores of 10.0—so Nadia’s perfect marks were reported on the boards as 1.00 instead

wow, that’s weird. Imagine seeing a 1.00 and not knowing it was actually meant to be a 10. I think I’d have a heart attack, haha! She must have been pretty amazing to get that score!

I like the olypics, I don’t watch much of the summer olypics, cause norway only do boring sports in the summer (like football or handball), so we don’t get much of anything else on the tv. Really like the winter olypics though, and we do pretty well in those, do Romania do as well as the summer games in the winter games?

I like the winter olympics better
My son and I watched part of the Olympics gymnastics. The girl from China ran the length of the tumble square and did her flips and jumps. He then turns to do something else, and I go “Keep watching!”
He turns and she’s crossing the corner doing more flips, and he’s oohing and aahing, but when she reaches the other corner, he started to do something else again. I’m like “Watch the whole thing!”
He looks at me and is like “Tell me when it’s over.”
Ahh… the wonders of a 4-year old. I tried!
Yeah, I like the camp so it doesn’t matter if I’m tired
